I was born at 11.04.1958 in Varna, Bulgaria. I've got 3 bachelor degrees and worked in the foreign trade and culture.

I am also a writer - my books have been published in many countries in 6 different languages that helped me achieved several prestigious literature awards.

I've started being involved in cynology in 1977. I am the founder of the first cynological clubs in Bulgaria. I became judge at 1981 and managed to achieve All-Round international judge status at 2007. I was deputy chairman of Bulgarian Cynology Union and ever since 2011 I am president of International Kennel Union (IKU). 

IKU is nonprofit organization registreted in Bulgaria in 2009. Actually it is pre-registration of IKU that was founded in Russia in 1997. The oldest club that belongs to IKU is the Russian hunting club that was created back in 1895. 

Many different counties are members of International Kennel Union - all the counties from the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), most of the counties from the Balkans, Germany, Finland, Cyprys, Egypt and Spain. IKU has signed memorandum with similar regional and national cynology organizations:

- English Kennel Club

- American Kennel Club

- FCM: Valencia

- FECAM: South America

- ACAM: Asia

IKU is in open cooperation with the organizations above regarding the registration of pure-breed dogs, training and certification of people interested in cynology: judges, instructors, supervisors and administrators. IKU is actively 

 training to help them achieve better practical knowledge and qualifications. IKU is a well known organization, recognized in over 100 countries. 

The center of IKU is located in Sofia, Bulgaria. 

The logo and emblem of IKU are trademark and have the protection of the patent legislation all over the world.

IKU has received a lot of assistance and recognition from many important and well-known people. Some of them are Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Medvedev, Boiko Borisov, Karolos Papoulias and Juan Carlos all of which have recieved bulgarian shepherd dog as gift. They helped a lot spreading the popularity of the bulgarian shepherd dog in the media. With the help of IKU several different magazines published information about the breed, mainly in Russia. Also a book was published in Bulgaria related to the Bulgarian shepherd dog.

The priorities of IKU are the following:

- Organizational development in counties who are not members of IKU.

- Establishing partner relationships and mutual recognition with different cynology unions, sharing the same principles as IKU.

- Unification of the rules about breading, organizing dog shows, defining standards of well known breads and acceptance of new ones.

- Working closely with the government, regional and local administration for solving the issue with stray dogs.

- Creating manual and promoting instructors to help dog owners improve their knowledge and culture about owning a dog.

- Developing dogs used for humanities needs - guide dogs for blind people, rescue dogs, police dogs and dogs used for drug and explosive detection.

- Helping developing ecologic cynology.

- Expanding the use of dogs - ethology, therapy purposes for people who are sick or having some kind of condition, helping people who serve a sentence to get back into society being better people.

For realization of the points above IKU will need the methodological, practical and financial help of international organizations like United Nations and European Union, government, regional and local assistance of different mayoralties, non profit organizations, corporate, sponsors and individual assistance.

The representative in Bulgarian for IKU is Bulgarian United Cynology Union. It has over 12 regional clubs and 19 clubs divided based on breeds. The organization has over 2200 active members and it's working to expand its structure and expertize. A lot of new people are joining the rows - most them are young, motivated and eager to improve their knowledge. Bulgarian United Cynology Union is helping them by organizing courses that are based on the stantards of the ministry of education and leading international cynology organizations. Lectors and field instructors are Andon Todorov, Andrei Miculov, Dimitar Dandarinov and others. 

Bulgarian United Cynology Union is working closely with Bulgarian Hunting and Fishing Union for developing hunting cynology. It's priority is to recognize and approve the local breeds - Bulgarian shepherd dog, Bulgarian hound and 

Bulgarian Scenthound. 

International Kennel Union is working hardly for the unification of a single coalition of the so called Alternative organizations. Unfortunately a part of the respected cynology activists like Igor Sulimov from Ukraine and Vladmir Urajevskii from Russia (both former honorary members of IKU) decided to create personal organizations and went their separate ways. I hope that there is going to be a meeting soon that will help us solve and overcome the differences. I depend on the cooperation and assistance of don Alberto Felix - one of the most respected and well known cynology leaders who is also a colleague and dear friend of mine.
